The busy resort of Newquay is only a few miles away and is home to an abundance of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Further along the coast is Padstow, home of celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth or why not trek a little further and visit Port Isaac? This is the ‘home town’ of TV’s most grumpy doctor, Doc Martin…
One of Cornwall’s busiest towns, it is home to seven magnificent beaches (including the surfing hotspot that is Fistral), many great attractions and a busy town centre full of shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and amenities including supermarkets and even a cinema.

Must visit beaches

A short walk from Trevella, we think Crantock is one of the best. It’s one of Cornwall’s hidden gems and rarely gets as busy as its neighbours in Newquay. It’s a huge expanse of sand that’s great for walks with the family or the dog.
Say the words ‘Fistral’ to any avid surfer and their eyes will widen with anticipation and delight in equal measure. Fistral is one of Cornwall’s most iconic beaches and the potential for huge waves makes it a popular surfing location.
Head south along Cornwall’s north coast and visit the busy town of Perranporth, which is home to a magnificent beach. With miles of golden sand, it’s the beach for everyone. It’s great for snorkelling, surfing, sunbathing and sand castle building. There’s even a pub on the dunes where you can cool off in the summer…
