Perhaps the pick of the many North Devon beaches, Saunton Sands is a key part of the region’s golden coast, Saunton Sands is a long, straight sandy beach backed by the impressive Braunton Burrows, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Head a little further south along the coast and you’ll come to Crackington Haven. This lovely shingle cove is dominated by majestic cliffs and boasts a stretch of golden sandy beach. This is a lovely beach that, like Widemouth, is popular with surfers and families.
